Description:
DIPSO is a dry powder formulation of the influenza virus vaccine. The vaccine is given intranasally, and has an average particle diameter of about 0.5 microns. DIPSO can be reconstituted with sterile water or saline at room temperature, but should not be mixed with other vaccines. The vaccine is administered as an admixture to other vaccines such as trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (TIV) or quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (QIV). It is also used for the prevention of seasonal influenza and for the prevention of influenza A in those who are 50 years old or older.
