Mupinensisone is a microbial transformation product that inhibits microbial growth by chemically reacting with the cell wall. It is used to preserve cosmetics and has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, such as Euonymus, Phenylpropanoids, Microbial, and Wilforlide. Mupinensisone has an inhibitory effect on bacteria in general, but it also shows a significant inhibitory effect on lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation.
