Aglain C is a flavonoid derivative extracted from the fruit of Melia azedarach. It has been shown to have anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial activity. Aglain C binds to the enzyme cyclooxygenase and blocks production of prostaglandins, leading to its anti-inflammatory effects. This compound also inhibits the growth of cancer cells by interfering with cell division. The extract is soluble in water, making it easier for plants to absorb this substance.
