Product Information
Diarylcomosol III is a natural product that inhibits the synthesis of melanin. It has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on murine melanoma cells and inhibitory effects on human melanoma cells. Diarylcomosol III is also found in rhizomes of the plant Commiphora mukul, which are used in traditional Chinese medicine. The extract from these plants inhibits the growth of murine B16 melanoma cells, but not normal mouse fibroblast cells. Diarylcomosol III may be a potential treatment for skin diseases such as vitiligo and melasma. It also has physicochemical properties that make it suitable for topical application.
