Description:4-(2-Chlorobenzyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-(1,2,4)triazolo(4,3-A)quinazolin-5(4H)-one is a peptide used as a research tool. It can activate protein kinase C, thereby inhibiting the activation of ion channels and the opening of calcium channels. It also inhibits protein interactions with other proteins such as receptors and ligands. This compound has been shown to be an inhibitor of receptor binding for Ligand Binding Assays (LBA). 4-(2-Chlorobenzyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-(1,2,4)triazolo(4,3-A)quinazolin-5(4H)-one has also been shown to inhibit cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo.
