Description:Kinetensin was originally isolated from pepsin-treated plasma, and it shares some sequence homology with the C-terminal end of neurotensin (NT), having four of its nine amino acids in common with NT. Kinetensin is a potent histamine releaser and therefore may serve as an inflammatory mediator, it also has a role as a human metabolite and can increases vascular permeability. Kinetensin can be cleaved by ACE2.
