CHKtide is a synthetic peptide substrate for checkpoint kinase 1 and 2 (CHK1/CHK2) as well as salt-inducible kinase (SIKs), for use in kinase assays. CHKtide has been derived from CDC25C which is phosphorylated by CHK1/CHK2 in one of the DNA repair pathways. SIKs are serine/threonine kinases that are part of a complex network that regulate sodium homeostasis and blood pressure.The valine residue at position 4 has been isotopically labelled with carbon-13(5) and nitrogen-15(1) and the leucine residue at position 19 has been isotopically labelled with carbon-13(6) and nitrogen-15(1). This isotopic labelling gives this peptide a mass increase of 13 compared to the unlabelled peptide.
