Product Information
2-(1H-Pyrazol-1-yl)isonicotinic acid is a coordination compound with an acetonitrile solvate. The crystal structure of this compound consists of two pyrazole rings, one carboxylic acid group, and one pyridine-4-carboxylic acid group. It has the ability to form a coordination compound with four bidentate ligands, which are two acetonitrile molecules and two pyridine molecules. The magnetic properties of this compound are due to the presence of unpaired electrons in the metal atom. The fluorescence spectrum consists of three bands: at 472 nm (green), 544 nm (orange), and 612 nm (blue). The tetradentate nature of the molecule can be observed by its coordination chemistry on copper. This ligand is used for monolayer formation in organic chemistry, as well as for other applications such as catalysis and bioorganic synthesis.
