The fluorescence spectrum consists of three bands: at 472 nm (green), 544 nm (orange), and 612 nm (blue). The tetradentate nature of the molecule can be observed by its coordination chemistry on copper. This ligand is used for monolayer formation in organic chemistry, as well as for other applications such as catalysis and bioorganic synthesis.
