Product Information

Name:
2-Chloro-6,8-difluoroquinoline
Description:

2-Chloro-6,8-difluoroquinoline is an experimental compound that has not been studied in vitro or in vivo. It is a potential drug candidate for the treatment of benzene poisoning. 2-Chloro-6,8-difluoroquinoline has been shown to have the ability to activate benzene and other aromatic compounds by acting as a hydrogen donor. The reaction proceeds through a regioselective mechanism involving the formation of an intermediate cationic complex followed by nucleophilic attack on benzene to form a benzylic quinolinate. 2-Chloro-6,8-difluoroquinoline may also interact with aminoquinolines through hydrogen bonding to form an intermediate complex that can be protonated to form the corresponding quinolinium ion.
