Product Information
- 2,6-Dimethylhept-1-Ene
2,6-Dimethyl-1-heptene is a functional theory spectroscopic marker of pollinator pseudoscabiosa. It is one of the most important markers for this species and can be identified by its characteristic absorption bands in the region of 3300 cm−1. 2,6-Dimethyl-1-heptene is not found in other plants so it can be used as a marker for pseudoscabiosa. This molecule has been shown to have a number of different biological functions, including being a substrate for thermogenesis and being involved in phosphate ion transport.
