Product Information
(E)-Doxepin-d3 is an inhibitor of human tumor kinases and has been shown to have anticancer properties. It is a deuterated analog of (E)-doxepin, which is a potent inhibitor of protein kinases. (E)-Doxepin-d3 has been found to inhibit the growth and proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. It induces apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in Chinese hamster ovary cells and human leukemia cells through the activation of caspase-3. Astaxanthin, another protein kinase inhibitor, has been used in combination with (E)-doxepin-d3 to enhance its anticancer effects. In addition, (E)-doxepin-d3 has been detected in urine samples from cancer patients undergoing treatment with this drug.
