Product Information

Name:
1,3-Dibenzyloxybenzene
Synonyms:
  • 1,3-Bis(benzyloxy)benzene
  • Benzene, 1,3-Bis(Phenylmethoxy)-
Description:

1,3-Dibenzyloxybenzene is a molecule that is classified as an endometriosis agent. It has been shown to have immunosuppressive effects in the immune microenvironment and to inhibit enzymes such as cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX). 1,3-Dibenzyloxybenzene also acts as an estrogen receptor modulator, which may be due to its structural similarity to estradiol. This drug has been shown to have anti-tumor effects in vivo and can be used for the treatment of hormone-dependent tumors such as breast cancer. 1,3-Dibenzyloxybenzene may induce apoptosis through a reaction mechanism involving death ligand binding and activation of caspases.
