Description:
Fludazonium chloride is a diagnostic agent that is used to diagnose cancer. It is a fatty acid ester of 2-fluoro-2,2-difluoroethanol and 2-chloro-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane (HFP). Fludazonium chloride has been shown to have a high affinity for fatty acids and fatty alcohols in tissues. The conjugates are also useful in the diagnosis of cancers. The enhancement of the fluorescence signal by polymeric matrices can be used for imaging purposes.
