Product Information

Name:
Bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) sulfite
Description:

Bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) sulfite is an additive that enhances the performance of water-based inks and coatings. It is a colorless liquid with a low viscosity and high volatility. Bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) sulfite is used as an additive to increase the solubility of other additives in water-based ink and coatings formulations. It has been shown to enhance the performance of these formulations by improving wetting properties. This additive also has been shown to reduce surface tension and improve gloss. The mechanism of action for this compound is not well understood but may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds and/or ionic interactions with molecules on the substrate surface.
