Excisanin A is a natural drug that has been found in the human liver and is believed to be produced by the human liver. This compound has been shown to have anticarcinogenic effects, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and inducing autophagy. Excisanin A also suppresses inflammation and restenosis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) activity.
