Product Information
1,2-Di-tert-butoxy-1,1,2,2-tetramethyldisilane is a silylating agent that is used in the synthesis of benzofurans. It is a reactive silane that can be used as a catalyst for cross-coupling reactions and ring opening reactions. 1,2-Di-tert-butoxy-1,1,2,2-tetramethyldisilane has been shown to catalyze the formation of chloroacetals from chloroethanol and acetaldehyde. This chemical also reacts with alkenes and alkynes to form silylated products through an acid/base reaction.
