Product Information
Theliatinib is a drug that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. It is a small molecule that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and blocks its activation. Theliatinib inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells by blocking EGFR, which causes cancer cell death. This drug also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and induces ferroptosis, an alternative form of cell death that is triggered by iron accumulation. Theliatinib has been shown to be effective against renal cell carcinoma and other cancers in preclinical models. It has also been shown to be active against virus-infected cells, including those infected with human immunodeficiency virus. In addition, this drug can be used as a diagnostic tool for identifying cancer cells in culture by detecting EGFR expression through PCR amplification and sequencing or immunohistochemistry techniques.
