Product Information
- (-)-PachyaximineA
Pachyaximine A is an alkaloidal extract from the mushroom Corynebacterium erythreae. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of various bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes, by binding to the DNA in these cells. It also has immunosuppressive activities, which may be due to its ability to bind to DNA and inhibit transcription. Pachyaximine A has been shown to have a hepatoprotective effect in vivo as well as cancer chemopreventive properties in vivo. These effects are thought to be due to pachyaximine A's ability to induce biochemical and chemical reactions that are important for cell growth or proliferation.
