Product Information
Dota derivative is a diagnostic agent that is used to identify the presence of a protein. The dota-peptide is first chemically modified with trifluoroacetic acid, which produces the dota derivative. The reaction occurs at the amino acid nitrogen and leaves a free amine group. This product can be conjugated to an antibody or radionuclide for purification purposes. It has been shown that this product binds to prostate cancer cells and liver cells, but not epidermal growth factor-secreting cells, which may be due to its ability to react with metal ions.
