Spirotetramat is a chemical pesticide that inhibits the growth of insects by interfering with the synthesis of chitin, an important component of insect exoskeletons. The optimum concentration for spirotetramat is 0.2 mg/L, which can be achieved through dilution with water or anhydrous sodium carbonate. Spirotetramat has not been tested for its effect on animals, but it is not expected to produce any adverse effects because it does not bind well with proteins.
