Description:3-Hydroxy-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde is a synthetic compound that inhibits cancer cell growth. It is a histone deacetylase inhibitor that has been shown to induce apoptosis in a dose dependent manner. The cross-coupling reaction of this compound with trifluoromethanesulfonates leads to the formation of 3,5,6-trichloro-[2,2'-bipyridine]-2,2'-dicarboxylic acid (TBDPS), which is an active form of 3OHMPA. TBDPS disrupts the cancer cell's energy metabolism and induces apoptosis by binding to DNA and inhibiting DNA synthesis.
