Amino-dPEG®2-t-butyl ester is a peptide that is used to study the interaction between proteins, receptors and ion channels. It is also used as a research tool in cell biology and pharmacology. Amino-dPEG®2-t-butyl ester is an inhibitor of ligand binding to receptor sites, which may be useful for studying receptor function. This product has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of ion channel activity, such as the inhibition of ATP release from isolated mouse liver mitochondria. The mechanism of action for this product is not well understood.
