The bis-dPEG®7-PFP ester is a small molecule with the potential for use as a research tool in pharmacology, cell biology and biochemistry. This compound is an inhibitor of the protein interactions in ion channels. The bis-dPEG®7-PFP ester has been shown to inhibit the activation of ligand-gated ion channels and voltage gated ion channels by blocking their interaction with neurotransmitter receptors or G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) on the cell surface. It also inhibits peptide binding to antibodies and receptor tyrosine kinase activity.
