Description:
m-Diethylaminoethylglycine (m-dPEG) is a versatile reagent for the synthesis of peptides, proteins, and other compounds. It is used in organic synthesis as a protecting group for amines. m-Diethylaminoethylglycine reacts with thiols to form m-dPEG-thiol. The product can be cleaved by mild acid hydrolysis to give the desired carboxylic acid in high yield.
