Product Information
Rhamnolipids C10 are a mutant strain of the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which has been shown to have antibacterial activity against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Rhamnolipids C10 were found to have both broad-spectrum and potent antibacterial properties in vitro. They also have the ability to coat surfaces with their lipid content, which could be used for applications such as antimicrobial coatings or pharmaceutical delivery systems. The mutant strain was first isolated from a soil sample collected in the United States.
