Product Information
Aldol 458 acetate is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is an enzyme substrate that can be used in the detection of β-galactosidase, alkaline phosphatase, and other enzymes. Aldol 458 acetate can be used for the detection of β-galactosidase by chemiluminescence or bioluminescence. It has been shown to have high purity and high quality as well as being a ligand that can be conjugated with a fluorescent dye to provide a fluorescent substrate. Aldol 458 acetate can also be used in culture media for the growth of bacteria. It has been shown to have strong inhibitory effects on Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus.
