Aldol® 518 myo-inositol-1-phosphate (Aldol®) is a fluorogenic substrate that is used as a diagnostic agent for the detection of phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate. Aldol® reacts with an enzyme in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and yields a fluorescent product. The fluorescent product can be detected through chemiluminescence or fluorescence measurements.
