Product Information
Isopedicin is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that has been shown to produce cytosolic calcium mobilization. It belongs to the class of drugs known as endogenous adenosine receptor agonists, which are compounds that can activate these receptors. Isopedicin has demonstrated antihypertensive activity in Sprague-Dawley rats and has been shown to inhibit cancer growth in animals. Isopedicin also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as hydrogen bond and activated TNF-α, by blocking the activation of tumor necrosis factor receptors on macrophages. Isopedicin inhibits oxidative injury through its potent inhibition of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and cyclooxygenase (COX).
