Product Information
Norkhellol is a natural product that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is synthesized by the enzyme oxidative coupling of chromones, which are derived from cimicifuga. Norkhellol has been shown to have antioxidant activity, inhibit the enzymatic hydrolysis of proteins, and inhibit lipid peroxidation in vitro. The chemical structure of norkhellol is similar to that of other chromones. Norkhellol produces a red color with a wavelength at 564 nm when it is exposed to light. This color can be seen in the leaves of cimicifuga plants. Norkhellol has also been shown to act as an estrogen receptor agonist.
