The solubility of this compound decreases as the temperature increases. 1,5-Pentylenediphosphonic Acid can be used for detecting metal surfaces through crystallography by examining the interaction between the compound and the metal surface. 1,5-Pentylenediphosphonic Acid can also be used for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy as it changes its electrical properties when interacting with metal surfaces.
