N-Nornuciferine is a drug that inhibits the synthesis of dopamine and norepinephrine. It has been shown to inhibit the production of hepg2 cells in human liver, as well as alkaloids, n-oxides, and cancer cells in experimental models. N-Nornuciferine also inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and hydrolyzes DNA by binding to it with high affinity. This drug binds to the polymerase enzyme, preventing its function and inhibiting the transcription process. The inhibition of PCR is due to its ability to bind both DNA and RNA primers or other reagents used for amplification.
