Product Information
- 1-Propanamine, Hydrobromide (1:1)
- Propan-1-amine hydrobromide (1:1)
Propylamine Hydrobromide is a non-polymeric, conjugated propylamine. It is an inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV), which is an enzyme that degrades the incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP. This drug has been shown to delay gastric emptying and suppress appetite in animal models. Propylamine Hydrobromide has low viscosity and can be used as a solvent for organic acids. It also exhibits high energy efficiency and is able to recharge batteries due to its high solubility in hydrochloric acid.
