Description:

5-Bromo-4-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl-b-D-cellotetraoside is a fluorescent cell wall substrate that is used for the detection of beta-glucuronidase activity in bacteria and fungi. It reacts with the enzyme beta glucuronidase, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of 1,2 glycosidic linkages in polysaccharides. The reaction results in a fluorescence signal proportional to the amount of beta glucuronidase present in the sample. 5B4C1HITC can be used as a substrate for bioluminescence assays, chromogenic substrates, and staining procedures. This product has been shown to have high purity and quality standards.
5B4C1HITC is also used as an enzyme substrate for conjugating with other molecules such as antibodies or enzymes.
