It also exhibits antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antiproliferative activities in vitro. Valerosidatum is found to be effective against muscle diseases, such as myasthenia gravis and muscular dystrophy, and it has been used in traditional Chinese medicine preparations to treat psychosis. Valerosidatum can be found in Curcuma aromatica (turmeric), which is a dietary supplement with food composition.
