Glycosidases hydrolyse 2-Chloro-4-nitrophenyl-2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside, releasing 2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl moiety, and the substrate can then be further metabolized by other enzymes. It is also used in the investigate the effects and activity on glycoproteins and glycolipids.
