Product Information
Triazoxide-desoxy is a chemotherapy drug that has been used to treat viral, bacterial and parasitic infections. Triazoxide-desoxy binds to the DNA of microorganisms, preventing replication and transcription. It also inhibits the synthesis of proteins in bacteria and fungi by inhibiting protein synthesis. This drug also has an antiviral effect, shown in vitro on influenza virus, herpes simplex virus, and vaccinia virus. Triazoxide-desoxy is not active against human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or hepatitis B virus (HBV).
