Product Information
Methyl 3-fluoro-4-hydroxyphenylacetate (MFHPA) is a hydrophobic drug that has been synthetized for the treatment of inflammation. It acts as a nonselective phosphodiesterase inhibitor and has been shown to be effective in experimental models of inflammation, such as carrageenan-induced paw oedema. MFHPA also inhibits fibrinolysis by preventing the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin, which may be responsible for its antiinflammatory effects. This drug has been found to reduce the severity of experimentally induced inflammation, such as carrageenan-induced paw oedema, by inhibiting fibrinolysis.
