Description:

Semilicoisoflavone B is a natural compound that has potent inhibition of toll-like receptor (TLR) and proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR). Semilicoisoflavone B also inhibits fatty acid synthesis, and induces insulin resistance. Furthermore, it inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines, downregulates TLR4 expression, and reduces the production of reactive oxygen species in vitro. This compound has been shown to have inhibitory effects on the proliferation of Caco-2 cells and may have potential as a treatment for metabolic syndrome.
