Glycyl-glycine 7-amido-4-methylcoumarin hydrochloride is a fluorescent dye that binds to langerhans cells, which are found in the skin, muscle, and nervous system. Glycyl-glycine 7-amido-4-methylcoumarin hydrochloride has been shown to bind to anova cells in the cerebral cortex as well as spastic muscles of the gastrocnemius muscle. This dye can be used to study depression and other neurological disorders. The binding of Glycyl-glycine 7-amido-4-methylcoumarin hydrochloride is reversible and it is not toxic.
