Product Information
Macrocarpal I is a genus of bacteria that includes species Macrocarpal I.1, Macrocarpal I.2, and Macrocarpal I.3. These species are found in the human gastrointestinal tract and have been identified as potential drug targets for metastatic colorectal cancer. The Macrocarpal genus has shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice by suppressing the activity of protein kinase C. This inhibition leads to decreased depression, colorectal carcinoma, and tissue samples from human colon cancer cells. The presence of this genus is correlated with a decrease in the expression of mirna-155, which is an oncogene that promotes tumorigenesis and metastasis in colorectal cancer cells.
