Product Information
R-138727 is a peptide that has been shown to activate the human ATP-sensitive potassium channel (KATP) in a dose dependent manner. This peptide has been shown to inhibit the activity of the KATP channel by binding to it and preventing it from opening. R-138727 has also been shown to inhibit protein interactions with its ligand, which may be due to its ability to compete with other proteins for access to the ligand. The IC50 value for R-138727 was found to be 0.5 μM in a competitive inhibition assay.
