Description:Fmoc-D-2,6-dimethyltyrosine is a bifunctional compound that has potent antibacterial activity. It is a selective inhibitor of the bacterial enzyme e3 ubiquitin ligase and can be used to treat infections caused by bacteria such as Mycobacterium avium complex and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Fmoc-D-2,6-dimethyltyrosine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animals with inflammatory diseases, which may be due to its inhibition of toll-like receptor signaling pathways. Fmoc-D-2,6-dimethyltyrosine also inhibits messenger RNA synthesis in cancer cells and can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent for cancer treatment.
