Product Information
Luc-Salmonella is a fluorogenic substrate that is used in biochemical research and diagnostics. It can be conjugated to a ligand or enzyme, which changes the color of the luciferase reaction. Luc-Salmonella can be used to detect and measure bacterial growth, measure the activity of an enzyme, or as a diagnostic tool for food and environmental testing. Luc-Salmonella has been shown to exhibit chemiluminescence in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, peroxidase, and other oxidizing agents. Luc-Salmonella contains no detectable bacteria and is therefore safe for use with live cultures of bacteria.
