The enzyme activity can be measured in vivo or in vitro. 4-Methylumbelliferyl N,N',N''-triacetyl-b-D-chitotrioside has been shown to hydrolyze and release glutamate from chitin. This product can be used for the detection of biological activities such as lysis, enzymatic activities, and bioreactor processes. It can also be used for biochemical analysis and industrial processing. 4MUFBT has a long shelf life when stored at low temperatures.
