Product Information
AGK2 is a small molecule that inhibits the SIRT2 enzyme. It binds to the ATP-binding site of SIRT2 and prevents substrate binding, thereby inhibiting its activity. This compound has been shown to reduce tumor growth in mice and enhance the efficacy of antiviral therapy. AGK2 also induces autophagy by inhibiting cambinol and mitochondrial membrane potential, which may be due to inhibition of protein synthesis and cell signaling pathways. It can be used as an autophagy inducer for cancer cells. AGK2 is a fluorescent probe that can bind to inhibitor binding sites on proteins with high specificity.
