Resorufin phosphate disodium is a chemiluminescent ligand that is used in diagnostic research. It has been shown to be able to bind with high affinity and specificity to the active site of many enzymes, including luciferase and horseradish peroxidase. This product is also used for bioluminescence assays such as the measurement of ATP levels in cells. Resorufin phosphates disodium can also be used as a fluorogenic substrate for enzyme activity or as a chromogenic substrate for protein binding studies.
