Description:Resorufin N-acetyl-b-D-galactosamine is a fluorogenic substrate used as a probe to detect and quantify the activity of N-acetyl-beta-D-galactosaminidase (also known as beta-hexosaminidase or HEX(NAG)). Particularly useful in biomedical research, clinical chemistry, and diagnostics, when the substrate is cleaved, the highly fluorescent resorufin dye is produced that can be detected at approximately 598 nm.
