It is an iron-binding agent that can regulate the expression of genes by binding to protein transcription factors, such as NF-κB and STAT3. Apoptosis Activator VII has been shown to inhibit prostate cancer cell growth and also may be able to help prevent the development of drug resistance in prostate cancer cells. This agent also has been shown to have a protective effect on neuronal function.
