Icotinib hydrochloride is a drug that inhibits the activity of several signal pathways in cancer cells. It is a potent, selective inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGF-Rβ) with long-term efficacy. Icotinib hydrochloride has been shown to be effective against lung cancer and colorectal adenocarcinoma. This drug also has not shown any significant side effects in clinical trials, which may be due to its low toxicity.
