Description:

3-Amino-4-chlorobenzoic acid is a diacid that has been shown to have strong steric interactions with manumycin and fibrinogen, which are proteins found in the human body. 3-Amino-4-chlorobenzoic acid has a carboxylate group at one end of the molecule, which can coordinate to metal ions such as chloride. The other end of the molecule contains a hydrogen atom that can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules. 3-Amino-4-chlorobenzoic acid can be synthesized by reacting 2 moles of chloroacetyl chloride with an amino acid.
